What are eBooks? Have You Read One Yet?

eBooks are all the buzz, but many people are still unsure of what they really are.  Quite simply, they are books in an electronic format that can be read on many devices including your home computer, laptop, blackberry, iPad and eBook Readers, to name a few.

I received a Sony Reader, Touch Edition for Christmas last year and absolutely love it.  I am able to download hundreds of eBooks and read them at my leisure, any time, any place. We, at eBookGuides4Life sell eBooks in PDF, which we found to be the most common and user friendly format for our readers.

I encourage avid readers and not-so-avid readers to read an eBook today. It's not only convenient but is environmental friendly.  There's speculation out there that by the year 2020, over 95% of reading will be on screen. (The trees will be happy to hear that!)

If you still love the feel of a traditional hard copy book in your hands, then you may want to test drive an eBook on your home computer first.

But I highly recommend purchasing an eBook reading device which gives you a similar feel in your hands plus so many cool options.  If you choose to purchase an eBook reading device, be sure to understand their limitations. (i.e. Kindles can only download from Amazon limiting your options out there!)

I'd love to hear about your eBook reading experience.   Happy eReading!
