The Smell of an eBook

I've heard many passionate readers tell me that they love the smell of a hard copy book.  I know exactly what they're talking about.

The touch, the feel and yes, even the smell can give us a great sense of comfort when we're reading. I still remember the smell of my public school library...all of those books and the sure enjoyment of selecting and discovering my next reading experience.

Yes, times have changed and our grandparents would probably snub their noses at the idea of reading a book electronically.  But let's face it, we're doing many things electronically now and it only makes sense.

So, will an eBook provide me with the same stimulation of my senses, do they have a smell that takes me back in time?

Yes and no.  Yes, your senses will be stimulated by the same feel of a book as many eBook reading devices are designed to look like a book and your eyes will be intrigued with the options of font size and back lighting.

But, no the smell of an eBook will not take you back in time...it will guide you to the future!
